DHL Worldwide Express Opening New Information Services Center in Scottsdale, Arizona; Koll Perimeter Center Selected as Site for Strategic Network Operations Facility.

DHL Worldwide Express, the global market leader of the international air express industry, today announced that Scottsdale, Arizona will be the location for its new Americas Information Services Center.

The facility will be the third of its kind strategically situated to manage DHL's network infrastructure 24 hours a day, seven days per week. The other two centers are located in London and Kuala Lumpur. Each facility manages the organization's vast computing and telecommunications network (DHLNET) during an 8-hour period and then passes control on to the next center. This rotation provides around-the-clock support to over 60,000 employees and over one million DHL customers.

DHL selected the Koll Perimeter Center in Scottsdale as its Americas Information Services Center securing 106,000 square feet of space to house the offices and data facility. DHL will employ approximately 350 employees at the center. These high-tech professionals will be both transferred from DHL Information Services offices in Canada, the US, and Latin America, as well as hired from the Phoenix area. The DHL Americas Information Services Center will begin set-up immediately with plans to be fully operational in September 2002.

In May, 2000 DHL expanded its existing customer service operations with the addition of a $26 million Customer Relationship Center in Tempe, Arizona's Papago Park Center.
