WHAT: In a world where, now more than ever, people need to be
sensitive to the needs of others, DHL will be displaying its
spirit of responsiveness and will be putting a "human face"
on the world's leading shipping company by performing "random
acts of kindness" in New York City. A precursor to the launch
of DHL's new customer service campaign, these random acts
demonstrate DHL's commitment to providing all its customers
with superior service.
Throughout the day DHL representatives will hand out
complimentary copies of The Wall Street Journal for
commuters, as well as bottled water, umbrellas, t-shirts,
hats and flip flops to passer-bys from a DHL distribution
center in Times Square. Meanwhile, twenty DHL taxis and a
fleet of rickshaws will offer free rides around Manhattan,
and hot dog stands will grill up and dish out America's
favorite summer snack for free.
