DHL Headquarters to Be Located in South Florida; Names Senior Management Team.

 today announced its intention to move its headquarters functions to South Florida. The operations impacted in Seattle include central headquarters functions, including human resources The fancy word for "people." After careful consideration, we have determined that, because of the pan-regional responsibilities of the headquarters, the optimal location for our headquarters is South Florida."

Fellows continued, "There will be no immediate impact on staffing levels in Seattle. We are still in the process of finalizing detailed staffing arrangements and integration plans, but Seattle clearly represents a large pool of employees with great talent and significant experience, and we expect that many employees will be offered the opportunity to relocate."

The Company also said that it was still in the process of determining its long-term plans for other Seattle-based operations, which include a number of functions, such as billing processing, revenue collection and claims processing. It is expected that a determination on these issues will be reached by the first quarter of '04. The Company's Seattle-based sales and pick-up and delivery operations will not be impacted by these changes.

DHL, which has offices in Plantation, Florida, is undertaking a comprehensive review of options for meeting its current and future space requirements before determining its final location.

"We expect to make a significant investment in our facilities and operations in South Florida, which will bring additional employment opportunities to the region," added Fellows. "We look forward to working with Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach counties as we seek to determine the exact location of our headquarters."

Separately, the Company also announced the appointment of its senior management team. Commenting on the appointments, Mr. Fellows said, "I am confident that our new management team can deliver on the promise of the DHL/Airborne transaction and forge a new future for DHL in the U.S."

DHL's newly appointed senior management team is as follows:

-- Richard Metzler has been named Executive Vice President of

Marketing for the Americas. Mr. Metzler joins DHL from APL (A Programming Language) A high-level mathematical programming language noted for its brevity and matrix generation capabilities. Developed by Kenneth Iverson in the mid-1960s, it runs on micros to mainframes and is often used to develop mathematical models.

Metzler will oversee all of the company's marketing activities

Human Resources. Formerly Executive Vice President of Human

Resources at Fleming Companies, a company with $18 billion in

revenue, and a Senior HR executive at Wal-Mart, Mr. Northcutt

has extensive experience in integration and executive

development. Mr. Northcutt will oversee all of DHL's HR

functions.

Mr. Clark was previously Senior Vice President of Marketing &

Sales and Customer Relations for DHL Americas. Mr. Clark will

be responsible for the combined U.S. Sales organization,

including National Accounts and Field Sales.

-- Richard Corrado has been appointed Executive Vice President of

Business Development, a newly created position to support the

sales and marketing functions. Previously Senior Vice

President of Marketing for Airborne, Mr. Corrado will be

responsible for overseeing pricing, bid processes, customer

service and customer technology, eCommerce and telesales.

-- Douglas Turner has been named Senior Vice President of

Corporate Services Activities that combine or consolidate certain enterprise-wide needed support services, provided based on specialized knowledge, best practices, and technology to serve internal (and sometimes external) customers and business partners. . Mr. Turner was previously in charge of
