Worldwide Express, the world's leading international air express network, has begun to develop a series of country specific websites to respond to the varying needs of international shippers in the 227 countries DHL serves.

As a part of this localized approach to the World Wide Web, a new site with comprehensive shipping and international business information for U.S.-based shippers will be launched today.

"As shipping procedures vary from country to country, we see the opportunity to provide a more customer-focused approach by developing websites that contain information specific to shippers in each of the 227 countries DHL serves," said Patrick Foley, chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. The country specific approach allows DHL to offer information on products, services, promotions and shipping procedures unique to each country in its local language.

The point of entry to country specific websites will continue to be www.dhl.com, which houses a global website with information pertinent to the entire DHL worldwide network. The site has been newly re-designed with an inviting photo-realistic approach and additional functionality including multiple airbill tracking. From the home page of www.dhl.com, browsers can select a specific country website to visit. Currently, specific websites exist for a number of countries including Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
