DHL And ''Mission Impossible III'' Campaign Culminates as the Action Thriller Hits Theaters Nationwide; DHL Delivers to Put Customer Service Back in Shipping for the Film Industry on and off the Set.

PLANTATION, Fla. -- As the summer's most highly anticipated action thriller "Mission Impossible III" debuts throughout theatres nationwide this Friday, DHL, the world's leading express delivery and logistics company, is in the midst of a nationwide campaign to illustrate how the company puts customer service back in shipping - through accepting and delivering on important missions daily for the film industry and all of its valued customers.

DHL is the Official Shipping and Logistics Partner for M:i:III and played a pivotal role behind the cameras to deliver movie sets and equipment around the world. Meeting the demanding deadlines of a major film shot throughout three continents presented a mission that DHL was more than willing to accept. In television ads running on prime time TV shows on FOX, NBC, ABC, and TNT through May 11, DHL plays out its role in a dramatic portrayal of moving the movie.

The TV spot begins on the dubbing stage in Hollywood where the M:i:III film is handed to an earnest young DHL messenger. The messenger pushes through the door of the dubbing stage, where a DHL branded aircraft awaits. You then see the DHL messenger flying out of the cargo hold through the air, parachuting down with the film to meet a DHL truck on the streets of Hong Kong and the awaiting crowd. A wild celebration begins in the streets of Hong Kong as the film flares the screen.

Leading up to today's premier of M:iII, DHL displayed billboard advertising with the slogan "Accepting Impossible Missions Daily" and the M:i:III theme throughout high profile areas in Los Angeles and Times Square, as well as projection media throughout these cities.

"The partnership and promotional tie presents a dramatic illustration of just how sensitive the shipments we move daily for our customers are, and how important it is to empower our employees -- enabling them to achieve seemingly impossible customer missions on a daily basis," said John Pearson, Executive Vice President, Commercial, for DHL. "The spirit of this film is one of the ways we have been instilling the values of a customer-centric culture within our employee population to help them do whatever it takes to make our customers successful."

Behind the cameras, DHL moved more than 55 tons of air freight for Paramount Pictures from filming locations that included China, Germany, Italy and the U.S. DHL was able to accomplish all of the logistical elements required for moving the movie on-time - from the camera equipment, lighting, film and costumes - to exotic cars including BMWs, Land Rovers and all of the spare parts. "We had a select team of DHL experts on standby 24 hours a day in Los Angeles to assist with the coordination of this mission," stated Peter Jorgenson, operations manager for DHL based in Los Angeles.

The delivery of the valuable freight at each location and in each country was carried out box by box, pallet by pallet. Specialists from Paramount Pictures took charge of the actual building of the set. All of the individual parts had to be prepared by DHL, not only in the right order, but also in the right configuration. "If a single part is missing, the whole production process can begin to fall apart," explained Jorgenson . "The DHL logistics team executed the deliveries flawlessly with team work, innovation, speed and reliability."
