Pre-tax income was $3,414,000, or 15.1 percent of total revenues, a 46 percent increase over the same period last year. This increase was primarily the result of the substantial increase in shipments.

Net income for the year ended Dec. 31, 1994, was a record $8,058,000, or $1.50 per share, a 27 percent increase from $6,331,000, or $1.23 per share, for the year ended Dec. 31, 1993. Pre-tax income reached an all-time high of $12,136,000, an increase of 34 percent compared with $9,048,000 in 1993.

Revenues for the year grew 38 percent to a record $77,918,000 in 1994 from $56,351,000 in 1993 due to increased shipments of the company's products and the addition of results from the two acquisitions in the bar code business.

William H. Gibbs, chief executive officer, stated: "We are pleased with the results for 1994. DH Technology designs, manufactures and distributes transaction printers and mechanisms, impact printheads, bar code printers and related services and supplies, such as labels and ribbons.

The company's products provide printing solutions for many diverse applications, including bank transactions, point-of-sale receipts, airline ticketing, data processing data processing or information processing, operations (e.g., handling, merging, sorting, and computing) performed upon data in accordance with strictly defined procedures, such as recording and summarizing the financial transactions of a  reports, gaming tickets, multi-part forms, and freight and bar code labels. The company uses a broad range of printing technologies including thermal, impact and laser to serve these markets and applications.
