DGSE Companies, Inc. Closing of New Credit Facility with Texas Financial Institution on March 30, 2005.

DALLAS -- New Facility Will Provide Additional Resources for Growth; Two New American Pay Day Centers Scheduled to Open on May 1, 2005 in New Mexico 

DGSE Companies, Inc. (Nasdaq:DGSE), which wholesales, retails and auctions fine watches, jewelry, diamonds and precious metal and rare coin products via traditional and Internet channels, and offers consumer loans via pawn stores and its' American Pay Day Centers, announced that it has closed a new credit facility with a Texas based financial institution. The new facility will provide additional resources for the company to expand its core businesses.

"The new facility is over 15 percent larger than our previous credit line and a larger portion of the line is in a three-year term component. Our plan is to carefully and opportunistically expand in the pawn area and continue the roll-out of our American Pay Day Centers in attractive markets while growing and enhancing our core jewelry, fine watch, diamond, precious metals and rare coin businesses."

In addition to the closing of the new credit facility and in order to accommodate the more rigorous regulatory requirements, DGSE has filed a short-term extension of time to file its 2004 10-K. Additionally, DGSE may be required to amend its 2003 10-KSB to adjust its deferred tax provision in connection with previously included write down of non-operating assets at year end 2003. Adjustments if any will have no impact on 2004 earnings.
