RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 8, 1999--DGI Technologies (DGI), a premier supplier of long-distance and cellular switching products, announces the availability of the DIF-3260C HD High Density Digital Interface Frame. Developed for international markets and designed to provide DGI's customers greater E1 port capacity, the frame consists of six double-density shelves, resulting in an increase of 100 percent port capacity over standard frames. It offers 4320 ports in the same space that previously offered only 2160 ports thus reducing upgrade costs and saving floor space.

The DIF-3260C HD allows international users of Motorola EMX switching systems, originally manufactured by Alcatel USA (formerly DSC Communications), to upgrade and expand their systems to the latest digital techniques, while maintaining complete compatibility with existing equipment. Additional benefits are improved operating efficiency, saved floor space and increased reliability.

The DIF-3260C HD contains new DGI manufactured digital interface shelves with integrated bus terminators and PCM interface modules, DGI card complements, dual power supplies and an integrated alarm assembly. The DGI card complement for each shelf consists of 18 cards: 12 DTI-3200 E1 trunk interface cards and six microprocessor cards.
