DGA RATIFIES 3-YEAR CONTRACT.Byline: Greg Hernandez Staff Writer The membership of the Directors Guild of America has ratified a new three-year contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP AMPTP Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers AMPTP Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers ), the DGA DGA Directors Guild of America (movie directors union) DGA Délégation Générale pour l'Armement (France) DGA Directeur-Grootaandeelhouder (Dutch: Managing Director and Major Shareholder) announced Tuesday. Apted gave credit to the ``unrelenting determination and matchless skill'' of the DGA's negotiating teams. DGA National Executive Director Jay D. Roth said protecting the financial stability of the guild's health plan was the DGA's No. 1 priority. ``At the end of the day, this is an excellent deal for DGA members and for the industry,'' Roth stated. ``To have accomplished this for our members, in combination with the other important gains of the agreement, makes me proud to have been a part of the strong team that negotiated this successful deal.''
