DG Hart Associates develops web site. (Technology Update).
"We were focused on building a resource center to benefit both our clients and other professionals," says Weissberg. "We are excited to share some of the compelling information sources that the Web has to offer. A broker, tenant or any business professional can go on our website and not only see which dotcoms have just received funding, but links to other sites with current mortgage rates, stock tips, and address locators. We have even put up links to Business Improvement Districts, as well as the Department of State Division of Corporations and other important government agencies that can help with loans, provide up-to-date information on statutes, or even send applications and forms."
Recently completed at the end of November, the website features a resource tab, i.e., "D.G. Hart Links," with nine intuitive headings: Government/Economic Development, Business Improvement Districts, Business News, Real Estate, Real Estate News, Demographics, Company Information, Traffic and Resources.
The highly efficient Government/Economic Development section includes links to the Department of City Planning, Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Records and Information (providing vital information on mortgages, deeds, liens, etc.). The Business News category has direct links to Crain's, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Crain's New York Business News, Home News, a national resource, and ABYZ.com, a site that connects to international newspapers.
The Real Estate section features links to major industry associations, such as the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York (ABO) and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), as well as City Profiles, mortgage rates, PikeNet.com and two real estate dictionaries.
The Company Information section is a research tool with links to Instant VC Watch, the Department of State Division of Corporations, and Hoover's Online. Among the most unusual categories is Resources, which has such diverse links as CEO Express, Free Agent (freelance services), ManhattanAddress.com, PriceWaterhouseCoopers Entrepreneur Resource Center, Techweb, weather.com and dictionary.com.
"All of the links are geared towards helping our brokers research information and better service their clients," adds Weissberg. "But we have actually developed a comprehensive site with access to a wide range of topics that are beneficial to so many businesses. We are certainly not providing a portal in any sense, but we have created a one-stop shop for important data."
