DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH Selects Concurrent's iHawk(TM)-ATC Computer Systems for Air Traffic Control Project;Concurrent to Deliver Over 2 Million $US Worth of iHawk Systems for the DFS Paperless Strip System Project.

ATLANTA -- Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: CCUR), a leading provider of integrated computer solutions for mission-critical applications, today announced that its German subsidiary has delivered the first of 391 iHawk ATC systems to DFS for the Paperless Strip System (PSS) project. Concurrent iHawk deliveries will total over 2 million $US. The iHawk ATC systems were selected for their high-performance features and customized design that addressed the strict requirements of DFS. The iHawk ATC systems are specifically designed by Concurrent to meet the needs of the air traffic control industry. This iHawk industry solution will be used by DFS as servers and clients driving large-scale computer touch screens at air traffic controller working positions.

The PSS project is a major step for DFS in an effort to provide the most innovative flight plan data handling system for air traffic controllers worldwide. PSS will allow air traffic controllers to replace the paper strips that hold data for all handled flights with a large-scale computer screen that displays virtual strips containing the same layout and information. A 21-inch interactive pen display allows the controllers to directly write information on the virtual strips on the screen with a pen in a manner similar to the current operating procedure.

In contrast to the current time-consuming manual system, complete flight information will be directly available to all other air traffic control subsystems including the Flight Data Processing Systems. Electronic strips can also be transferred to other controller positions without having to carry them physically.

After an extensive review and selection process, Concurrent was chosen as the preferred supplier due to the company's ability to comply with all aspects of the strict commercial requirements and detailed technical specifications. Prior to this project, Concurrent had delivered almost five hundred iHawk systems for other projects at DFS.
