DEVRY REPORTS SPRING TERM ENROLLMENT INCREASE
EVANSTON, Ill., April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- DeVry Inc. (NASDAQ: DVRY)

today reported that new student enrollment for the spring 1992 term increased 5.9 percent over last year. In March 1992, 4,366 new students enrolled, compared with 4,121 students for the same term last year. This is the fifth consecutive term to exceed prior year results in new student enrollment.
Total student enrollment reached 23,138 in spring 1992, compared with 22,226 in spring 1991.
"We attribute this enrollment growth to an increasing demand for career-oriented higher education," said Chairman Dennis J. Keller. "At DeVry, we design technology-based, baccalaureate degree programs that meet industry needs.
"This increase also reflects current market trends. For example, we believe the number of people looking to the military as a career choice has declined as the military has downsized. We expect this decline to result in increased enrollment at DeVry."
"We are extremely pleased with our recent enrollment growth," said President Ron L. Taylor. "Despite a fluctuating economy, DeVry has exceeded its planned enrollment target, demonstrating continued strength, stability and consistency."
DeVry Inc., headquartered in Evanston, Ill., owns and operates the DeVry Institutes and the Keller Graduate School of Management. It is one of the largest private degree-granting higher education institutions in North America.
DeVry Institutes offer bachelor's degree programs in electronics engineering technology, computer information systems, accounting, business operations and telecommunications management and an associate degree program for electronics technicians.
DeVry campuses are located in Atlanta; Chicago and Lombard, Ill.; Columbus, Ohio; Dallas; Kansas City, Mo.; Los Angeles; Phoenix; Woodbridge, N.J.; and Calgary and Toronto.
Keller Graduate School of Management offers master's degree programs in business administration and project management and operates ten centers in the Chicago area, Kansas City, Milwaukee and Phoenix.
