The basic drawings (maps) of the land cadastre (ownership boundaries) for all public and private lands. Parcel maps are typically maintained at a variety of scales, and can be either very precise or very general "cartoon maps" , one from a developer planning to construct buildings on speculation and another to preparing 90 acres for potential buyers. Coming before the commission at its Monday meeting is a parcel map application for the subdivision of 24 industrial lots. Three Springs Corp., the commercial development arm of home builder Larwin Co., plans to build 212,000 square feet of industrial buildings on 18.5 acres north of Avenue G between 45th and 47th streets west. Three Springs intends to construct 24 buildings, varying in size from 6,250 square feet to 16,000 square feet. These will be ``spec'' buildings, meaning they will be constructed without a confirmed tenant, in the speculation that tenants will turn up. Three Springs will sell or lease the space to local companies that want to expand and to out-of-town companies moving into the Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. The city's aim is to create jobs and a buffer for the airfield from residential development. To accommodate corridor growth, Lancaster is spending $8 million to widen Avenue G from two lanes to six lanes between 25th and 50th streets west. ``There is a lot of interest in Fox Field,'' said Mark Bozigian, assistant to the city manager for redevelopment. ``The investment in Avenue G has opened up the interest. With Three Springs coming in, there's a lot of energy and motivation by developers.'' The two parcel map applications are for parts of a 120-acre parcel the city acquired from Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.
