SANTA PAULA Santa Paula (săn`tə pôl`ə), city (1990 pop. 25,062), Ventura co., S Calif., on the Santa Clara River in a fertile valley that yields citrus fruits, avocados, vegetables, flowers, nursery products, and walnuts; laid out 1875, inc.  - Nonprofit groups and community leaders are being encouraged to take advantage of a network of resources to foster community and economic development in Ventura County in the areas of Santa Paula, Fillmore and Piru.

State Sen. George Runner George C. Runner, Jr. (born March 25 1952 in Scotia, New York) is a Republican California State Senator, who represents the 17th Senate District, which includes portions of Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County and Ventura County. , R-Lancaster, and Assemblywoman Audra Strickland Audra Strickland is a Republican who has been a member of the 37th district of the California State Assembly since December of 2004. She succeeded her husband, Tony Strickland who was term limited. Prior to serving in the Assembly, she was a junior high school teacher. , R-Westlake Village, sponsored Santa Paula's Community Renewal Regional Conference on Oct. 29, offering advice on how to apply the statewide program locally.

The Community Renewal Project is a partnership between California legislators and the Capitol Resource Institute.

Organized in 2000, the project increased its presence through California's diverse communities hosting conferences that bring faith, community, business and elected leaders together to enhance their efforts to strengthen their communities.

The Santa Paula conference in October focused on ways to use the program to equip faith-based and community leaders with the knowledge and tools necessary to revitalize re·vi·tal·ize

 and renew their communities and organizations.

A number of officials from surrounding cities attended, including Santa Paula Mayor Mary Ann Krause, and representatives of the Higgy Foundation, Las Piedras Las Piedras may refer to:

 Police Storefront, Cabrillo Economic Development Corp., Emanuel Lutheran Church, Girl Scouts Girl Scouts, recreational and service organization founded (1912) in Savannah, Ga., by Mrs. Juliette Gordon Low (1860–1927). It was originally modeled after the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides, organizations created in Great Britain by Sir Robert Baden-Powell during  of America, Heritage Valley Tourism Bureau, Fillmore Family Recreation Center, Interface, Santa Paula Family Resource Center and Action-Spirit of Santa Paula.
