traders, Deutsche Terminborse (DTB See Deutsche Terminbörse. ) will extend the trading hours for its stock and stock index-linked products by 90 minutes beginning Monday, May 22.

Trading hours for these products will move to 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Frankfurt time) from the current 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In the U.S., these longer hours will allow investors to trade the German equity market until 11:00 a.m. ET.

This decision by DTB's parent organization, Deutsche Borse AG, is intended to bring the trading hours for stock and stock index-linked derivative products more in line with the hours on the underlying markets. Currently, the 30 DAX-listed stocks are traded between 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Frankfurt time) on the IBIS screen-based trading and information system. Separately, longer hours will help DTB's efforts to actively market DAX futures in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America.
