 DETROIT NEWS APPOINTS AD AGENCY
 DETROIT, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Yaffe & Company Advertising, one of


the state's largest advertising agencies, has been chosen by The Detroit News to provide a full range of advertising and marketing services to the newspaper. The announcement was made today by Robert Giles, publisher of The News.
 Yaffe will play a key role in strategic planning and have responsibility for creative execution and broadcast media planning for The News. The agency, which currently bills over $60 million annually, represents a number of leading Michigan-based companies, including Fretter, Inc.; Art Van Furniture; Faygo Beverages; First Federal of Michigan and Perry Drug Stores.
 This announcement came after a two-month review of local advertising agencies by The Detroit News and the Detroit Newspaper Agency.
