 DESKTOP DATA ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF ZIFFWIRE NEWS SERVICE
 WALTHAM, Mass., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Desktop Data, Inc. today announced the addition of the ZiffWire news service to NewsEDGE, a real-time news product, designed for people who need up to date information on products, vendors, competitors and trends in the high- tech industry. A product of Ziff Desktop Information, ZiffWire is an electronic news service that delivers abstracts and full text of news stories, articles and product reviews from Ziff Publications, including PC Magazine, PC Week and MacWEEK. Desktop Data is the first independent vendor to distribute ZiffWire and will be the exclusive broadcast carrier of the new service.
 NewsEDGE products actively integrate multiple news services from major news providers and monitor the incoming stories according to individual interests. The products are targeted at professionals who require easy access to the most current news, including investment managers, corporate executives, sales and marketing managers, and communications professionals. With ZiffWire, users will now be able to actively monitor the high-tech industry tracking new product introductions, company news, competitive products and industry speculation.

Friday after 9 p.m. EST and three days before the actual publication date, ZiffWire provides advance abstracts of the top news stories, as well as full text of the popular Spencer F. Katt and Mac the Knife industry gossip columns, from PCWeek and MacWEEK, the leading controlled-circulation weekly newspapers. Tuesday evenings, ZiffWire delivers the full text of the current PCWeek, and Wednesday evenings the full text of the current MacWEEK. Thursdays, ZiffWire provides a special editorial package of PC/Computing, Computer Shopper, PC Sources, MacUser and Corporate Computing.
