The Yellow Ribbon Stakes The Yellow Ribbon Stakes is a Grade I race for thoroughbred fillies and mares aged three-years-old and upwards. It is raced during the Oak Tree Racing Association meeting at Santa Anita Park in late September / early October.  today on the Santa Anita Santa Anita may refer to:

 turf course may amount to a $500,000 prep race for Dance Design, the Irish Oaks-winning filly who is the 3-1 third choice on the morning line.

Dance Design, ridden by Michael Kinane, is still a possibility for the $1 million Breeders' Cup Distaff The Breeders' Cup Distaff is a Weight for Age Thoroughbred horse race for fillies and mares, 3 years old and up. It is held annually at a different racetrack in the United States or Canada as part of the Breeders' Cup. It is sponsored by the airline Emirates.  at Hollywood Park next Saturday, trainer Dermot Weld said.

This will be the 4-year-old's second U.S. race. She faded to third behind Memories of Silver - the Yellow Ribbon favorite - in the Beverly D at Arlington in August.

Weld said she was sick that day.

``I'm sure she'll give a good account of herself,'' Kinane said after riding Dance Design Friday morning. ``She doesn't know how to run a bad one.''

Ryafan, winner of the Queen Elizabeth Cup at Keeneland, is second on the morning line, and one-eyed Real Connection is a crowd favorite.

The 1-1/4-mile race drew eight fillies and mares.

The second-to-last day of the Oak Tree meet includes the $250,000 Oak Tree Derby The Oak Tree Derby is a race for thoroughbred horses run at Santa Anita Park during the Oak Tree Racing Association meet each year. The Grade IIT event is open to three-year-old horses willing to race one and one-eighth miles on the turf and offers a purse of $150,000. , formerly the Volante Handicap.

Distaff defending champion Jewel Princess went 5 furlongs in 1:00.
