A lay summary of each "Paper of the Month" is prepared and placed on the DERT Web site. The lay summaries and copies of the publications are circulated to senior DERT and NIEHS staff. Papers of the Month are also used in preparation for the NIEHS congressional budget justification and in responses to NIH requests for research highlights. Grantees are invited to submit publications for potential selection. Articles published in the previous month will be considered. Manuscripts may be submitted and will be considered for use after they have been published.
