DEPUTIES SEEKING PUBLIC'S HELP IN A.V. CAR-THEFT CASE.

PALMDALE -- Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help in locating a car-theft suspect.

Ex-convict Manuel Ruiz Manuel Ruiz Pérez (born December 3, 1962 in Jerez de la Frontera) is a Spanish football coach and former player.

During his football career, he played for several clubs including his childhood club Xerez CD, UD Melilla and Sanluqueño.
, 27, is suspected of stealing a car in May in Palmdale, Sgt. Mark Machanic said.

Ruiz has been seen recently in the Joshua Hills Joshua Hill can refer to several people:
  • Joshua Hill, the Pitcairn Island leader, 1773-1844
  • Joshua Hill, American politician from Georgia
 neighborhood, Machanic said.

Deputies said Ruiz should be considered armed and dangerous, and he is facing a sentence of 25 years to life in prison if convicted of auto theft.

An auto theft conviction would count as his third strike under California's ``three strikes, you're out'' sentencing law for repeat violent offenders, Machanic said.
