``Alcohol may have contributed to this collision,'' Deputy Rick Nolte said Monday. ``Deputies at the scene received information that Monroy had been drinking prior to crossing the street.'' Monroy attempted to cross the street outside a crosswalk and the SUV that hit Monroy had a green light, deputies said.
