DEPUTIES ARREST 2 AFTER DEVICE REVEALS POSITION.

Two Palmdale men were arrested Wednesday morning for a Long Beach carjacking The criminal taking of a motor vehicle from its driver by force, violence, or intimidation.

The u.s. justice department categorizes the crime of carjacking as a "completed or attempted Robbery of a motor vehicle by a stranger
 after deputies picked up a LoJack anti-theft device signal from a car, sheriff's officials said.

Wayne Lovell Jynes, 33, and Roeling Adams, 18, were arrested after the signal broadcast by the device was traced to an apartment complex in the 500 block of East Avenue Q-12.

Deputies found Jynes sitting in an Acura Integra, which later proved to have been reported stolen hours earlier in Long Beach, and spotted a second man running away, deputies said.

Deputies Bob Farkas and Basil Perkowski found Adams in his mother's apartment pretending to sleep.
