In the United States of America, Notre Dame  64: Marcus Everett had 17 points and six assists to lead the Eagles of West Hills (13-3, 2-0) to a Mission League win over the visiting Knights of Sherman Oaks, who fell to 1-1 in league. Orlando Baeza led Notre Dame with 17 points.

--Valley Torah 89, Summit View 18: Omer Markush came off the bench to contribute 14 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists and seven steals as the Wolfpack of Valley Village (7-2, 3-0) won a Valley League game over the host Avalanche of Valley Glen. Valley Torah had six players with double-figure rebound totals.

In girls' basketball:

--Bell-Jeff 61, St. Anthony 37: Jennae Peoples had 25 points, 14 rebounds and 10 steals for the host Guards of Burbank (11-3, 1-1) in a Camino Real League win over the Saints of Long Beach.

--Reseda 53, Hamilton 43: Ashley Tacub had 20 points and seven steals to lead the Regents (7-3) to a win in the third-place game of the Roosevelt tournament. Nayley Jimenez added 13 points and eight rebounds for Reseda.

In boys' soccer:

--Chaminade 1, Notre Dame 0: Chris Estes Chris Estes (full name: Christopher Douglas Estes DOB: June 8, 1971) former King Diamond bass player (1994-1999). Originally from Dodge City Kansas, Chris moved to Denton Texas in 1991 to attend the University of North Texas as a Jazz Studies major.  scored and goalkeeper Ian Nussbaum had 10 saves for the visiting Eagles of West Hills (6-5-1, 2-0) in a Mission League win over the Knights of Sherman Oaks (5-4-2, 0-1-1).

--Loyola 1, Harvard-Westlake 0: Mario Nicholas scored in the 41st minute and Brian Grinditch had three saves in his third shutout as the Cubs of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  (5-5-3) won a Mission League match at Harvard-Westlake of Studio City.
