DENTSPLY International Inc. acquires DW Industries.


YORK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 16, 1997--DENTSPLY International Inc. (Nasdaq-XRAY) Thursday announced it has completed the acquisition of DW Industries Inc., in a cash transaction valued at approximately $17 million.

The acquisition of this business is expected to add approximately $7 million to DENTSPLY's annual sales.

Headquartered in Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States. , DW Industries is the leading manufacturer of disposable air-water syringe tips. Marketed under the brand name Sani-Tip(R), the system replaces the common metal tip found on tri-syringes delivering water, air or a combination air/water spray during clinical dental office procedures.
