DENTSPLY International Inc. Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend and Authorizes Year 2004 Stock Buyback Program.

YORK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 2003

DENTSPLY International Inc. (Nasdaq:XRAY) today announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.0525 per share of common stock, an indicated annual rate of $0.21 per share. The dividend is payable January 8, 2004 to holders of record on December 29, 2003.

The Company also announced that the Board of Directors has authorized the repurchase of up to 1,000,000 shares of DENTSPLY common stock on the open market or in negotiated transactions in calendar year 2004. The Company has approximately 79 million shares of common stock outstanding.
