DENTSPLY Enters Protective Skin Shield Market.

YORK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 2000

DENTSPLY International Inc. (Nasdaq:XRAY) today announced it has acquired all of the assets related to the CHIMAL product lines of lotions and creams from the Shield and Chimal Corporations of Tulsa, OK.

The Shield acquisition was structured as a joint venture with DMRB DMRB Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (UK)
DMRB Defense Materiel Readiness Board (US DoD)

DENTSPLY paid $2.4 million in cash for a 51% interest in the joint venture and obtained exclusive rights to market the CHIMAL product line to the worldwide dental market.
