DENTAL HEALTH PROJECT PRAISED FOUNDATION HELPED KIDS.

SANTA CLARITA Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  - The Foundation for Children's Dental Health has received the Innovative Project Award for its children's dental screening program.

On Jan. 21, Los Angeles County recognized the foundation for outstanding achievement and success in a Community Development Block Grant Program.

``We are pleased to receive this award. It recognizes how important it is for us to continue to provide dental care to children,'' said Ken Pulskamp, president and co-founder of the Foundation for Children's Dental Health.

The purpose of the foundation is to provide dental services to Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita.  who otherwise would not receive such care. Since its inception in 1993, the foundation has provided dental treatment to more than 750 children and screened at least 5,000.
