Robert Alvarado, 36th Assembly District Chair for the California Democratic Party The California Democratic Party is the local branch of the Democratic Party in the state of California. It is presently chaired by former State Senator Arthur Torres. It is the majority party in both chambers of the state Legislature, i.e. the State Assembly and the Senate. , will outline the 2003 voter registration Voter registration is the requirement in some democracies for citizens to check in with some central registry before being allowed to vote in elections.
