 DELTA REPORTS OCTOBER TRAFFIC GROWTH
ATLANTA, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL)

today reported traffic results for October 1991.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totaled 5.628 billion during October, a 16.4 percent increase over the same month a year earlier. Capacity grew 11.0 percent to 9.710 billion available seat miles. The load factor for October 1991 was 57.97 percent.
Al Kolakowski, Delta's senior vice president-marketing, said: "Passenger travel continues to grow at double-digit rates, with advance booking showing the same trend. Reflecting this trend is the Delta Shuttle, acquired from Pan Am on Sept. 1. Profitable after only two months of operation, we've seen an increase in Shuttle passengers and have found the break-even load factor to be lower than expected."
Passenger boardings for October totaled 6,315,520.
