 DELTA CONNECTION, COMAIR CELEBRATES
 FIVE YEARS OF FLORIDA SERVICE
CINCINNATI, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- COMAIR, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS: COMR) celebrates its fifth year of service in Florida this month. On Nov. 1, 1987, COMAIR inaugurated flights from the newly established hub at the Greater Orlando International Airport to six Florida cities with 65 daily flights.
Within the first year, the company had expanded its service area to 13 cities, including Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Daytona Beach, Melbourne, Naples, Gainesville, Tallahassee, Key West, Tampa, Jacksonville, Miami, West Palm Beach and Freeport, Grand Bahama. The Orlando hub was developed in partnership with Delta Air Lines to provide Florida travelers with convenient connections to Delta's worldwide network.
In 1988, COMAIR announced its participation with Delta Air Lines and the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority in the construction of a multi- gate flight center, which included COMAIR's 15-gate facility. Upon completion, the concourse enabled the airline to more than double its capacity. In addition, in 1989, COMAIR constructed a 20,000 square foot office and maintenance facility at the airport.
Today, COMAIR employs more than 530 airline professionals in Florida, including pilots, mechanics and customer service agents. COMAIR has established itself as one of the largest and most successful intra-state Florida carriers. Throughout the southern route system, COMAIR operates more than 200 flights each weekday to a total of 18 cities. For the last five years since Nov. 1, 1987, the company has flown more than 200 million people through the southern network.
