DELLA REESE GIVES RATINGS BOOST TO CBS.

She started her career in the late 1950s as a successful Jazz singer, best known for her 1959 hit single "Don't You Know".  a debt of gratitude for its victory in the Nielsen Media Research ratings last week.

``The Secret Path,'' a Sunday night movie that starred Reese and Ossie Davis, was the second most-watched show of the week, Nielsen said on Tuesday.

And tied for third place in the week's ratings was ``Touched by an Angel,'' also starring Reese. Talk show host Montel Williams was a guest on Sunday's episode.
