 DELL NAMES NEW MARKETING AND SALES EXECUTIVES;
 KEY EXECUTIVES TO SUPPORT 100 PERCENT-PLUS U.S. GROWTH
 AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Dell Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: DELL) today announced the appointment of three key sales and marketing executives in its Dell USA organization.
 Rob Howe has been named vice president and general manager of Dell Direct Sales, reporting to Joel Kocher, senior vice president of Dell USA. In his new position, Howe will be responsible for Dell's sales to small and medium-sized businesses. In addition, Howe will focus on increasing Dell's capabilities in software and peripheral distribution as well as expanding Dell's relationships with third party vendors. Prior to joining Dell, Howe was vice president of vendor relationships at MicroAge, a reseller of information technology headquartered in Tempe, Ariz.
 Susan Blunt Larson has been named vice president and general manager of Dell's commercial marketing division, also reporting to Kocher. In this position, Larson will spearhead Dell's direct selling effort to FORTUNE 1000 accounts, as well as marketing activities with value-added resellers and systems integrators.
 Prior to joining Dell, Larson acted as regional vice president for JWP, Inc., a company selling multi-vendor solutions, such as hardware, software, integration and connectivity solutions, exclusively to FORTUNE 1000 companies.
 AnnMarie Randle has been appointed director of Dell's federal systems division. In this newly created position, Randle will be responsible for further strengthening Dell's rapidly growing presence in the federal sector. Randle reports to Dennis Jolly, vice president and general manager of the government, education and medical business for Dell USA.
 Prior to joining Dell, Randle was acting vice president of sales at Government Technology Services Inc. (GTSI), a company providing microcomputers, software and peripheral products to the federal government.
