Prosecutors contend the defendants entered McLoren's back yard on May 22, 1995 and attacked Farris and McLoren as they were lifting weights and using a punching bag outside a wooden fort behind McLoren's home. Prosecutors said the defendants were seeking marijuana locked in a drawer inside the fort.
