The DESI is comprised of six market segments. Renewable energy technologies range from solar power, wind power, and hydroelectricity to biomass and biofuels for transportation.  and the demand management segments all recorded solid gains. The other segments recorded minimal gains or a loss, with the power quality sector dropping significantly in Q1 2007.
