``We are extremely excited that Ms. Winger has a desire to help the Repertory Theatre for our 2003 season,'' said Craig Duswalt, the Rep's producing artistic director. ``Ms. Winger has been a supporter of the theatre since it opened in January 2000 and was seen at the opening-night party for the performance of Steve Martin's 'Picasso at the Lapin Agile' in 2001.''

Baxter wrote ``The Feast of Love,'' which was a finalist for the National Book Award. He has published two other novels, ``First Light'' and ``Shadow Play,'' and four books of stories, most recently ``Believers.'' He also has published essays on fiction, collected in ``Burning Down the House,'' and has edited or co-edited two books of essays, ``The Business of Memory'' and ``Bringing the Devil to His Knees.'' He also edited ``Best New American Voices 2001.'' He has received the Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. His work has been widely anthologized, and has been translated into 10 languages.

VIP tickets to the event are $125 per person and include the best seats for the performance and entrance to an after-show wine and cheese reception with the actress. General admission tickets are $50 per person.
