Police continued investigations Thursday into a flurry of collisions in the Valley on Wednesday that killed two people and seriously injured at least two others.

Two pedestrians were killed in separate incidents Wednesday.

At 4:03 p.m., 85-year-old Ofelia Guzman of North Hills was struck by a vehicle backing out of a driveway in the 9200 block of Sepulveda Boulevard.

Officer Michelle Lopez said the collision appears to be an accident, but it is still under investigation.

The second fatal collision happened at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday in Pacoima on Osborne Street, just east of Arleta Avenue.
