``This is the most exciting New Year's we've ever had,'' said Death Cab bassist Nick Harmer. ``Finally, we have something really fun to do on that night. Because we're like everyone else at New Year's Eve - going around looking for something really cool to do and never finding it. This year, all our friends are going to be at the show. It's going to be a blast.''

``It's just unbelievable to be named along with those artists,'' Harmer, 30, said. ``This is completely unexpected. We have no idea how it happened. We're still in shock.''

The year is clearly ending on the right note, too.

``Last year, we were scattered to the wind, searching for the ultimate place to be when the clock strikes midnight,'' the bassist said. ``It never works out, and you end up skipping around doing nothing, promising yourself you'll have something fantastic to do next year.

``This year, we've got it sorted out.''
