DEADLY DAY TWO KILLED, THREE HURT IN SEPARATE COLLISIONS.

CANYON COUNTRY - Two people were killed in separate crashes hours apart in the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. Sgt. Ben Dibene of the California Highway Patrol said investigators were looking into the cause of the crash.

``Both of the cars were totaled,'' he said. ``This is the first time we've had one of these in a long time up there.''

The collision closed closed Sierra Highway for an hour.

Details of the second crash were not immediately released, but Dibene said one person died just after noon on the northbound Antelope Valley Freeway The Antelope Valley Freeway is a freeway in Los Angeles and Kern counties in southern California. It is signed as California State Highway 14 along its length. It connects Greater Los Angeles to the rapidly developing Antelope Valley. , about one mile north of the Shadow Pines Boulevard exit.
