DC Metro sells passes for pope visit

Thousands of visitors are expected to flock to Washington for the papal Mass in less than three weeks, and Metro is doing its best to make them feel welcome.

The transit agency is offering a one-day commemorative "Mass Pass" for $9. The pass will be good for unlimited travel on April 17th, the day Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate Mass at Nationals Park. Unlike regular one-day passes, they can be used during the morning rush hour.

The passes can be purchased online until Friday. After that, they will be available at Metro sales offices.

Metro also has created a special section on its Web site for the papal visit and a brochure with information about how to get to the stadium and other Washington sights.
