DBRS Raises Debt Rating for Groupe Videotron Ltee.


MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 1999--

:VDO.) announces that the Dominion Bond Rating Service Dominion Bond Rating Service is a credit rating agency based in Toronto, Ontario. Founded in 1976, it is one of the largest credit rating agencies in Canada. It is one of five Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organizations in the United States, though significantly smaller  (DBRS DBRS Dominion Bond Rating Service ) has assigned the BBB- rating to the Company's Senior Notes maturing in 2005, an increase compared to the previous BB+ rating.

A medium grade assigned to a debt obligation by a rating agency to indicate an adequate ability to pay interest and repay principal. However, adverse developments are more likely to impair this ability than would be the case for bonds rated A and above.
