Jason Tubbs had 27 points and 12 rebounds as the Ribet Academy boys' basketball team remained unbeaten in the Heritage League with a 82-48 win over visiting South Bay Lutheran of Inglewood on Saturday night.

Gerald Edwards added 24 points for the Frogs of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  (17-2, 10-0) and Matthew Houghton contributed 21 points and 12 steals.

Marcus Hartwell had 16 points for the Waves (3-16, 3-7).

In girls' basketball:

--Moore keeps Frogs hoppin': Saterah Moore had 20 points to lead host Ribet Academy to a 55-33 win over South Bay Lutheran in a Heritage League game. Erin O'Neal was the only other scorer in double figures for the Frogs (7-6, 5-4), totaling 11 points. The game was close until the second quarter when Ribet Academy outscored the Waves 21-10 to take a 31-17 lead into halftime.

    --Lions roar past St. Mary's: Host Loyola Marymount won all but one match in straight sets en route to a 8-0 shutout of St. Mary's in a West Coast Conference match. Penka Fileva, Edit Pakay, Jennifer Mitchell, Angelina Zdorovystka and Holli Freudenberg all won their singles matches in straight sets for the Lions (2-1, 1-0). Only Milica Cukulic went three sets in singles for Loyola Marymount, defeating St. Mary's Catalina Fillol 6-4, 5-7, 6-2. In doubles play, the teams of Fileva and Pakay and Zdorovystka and Velana Kassab scored wins for the Lions.
