DAY IN SPORTS: VALENCIA GIRLS PULL OFF UPSET OF NO. 1 SAUGUS.

Kelly Tarver had 26 points and six rebounds as the Valencia High girls' basketball team upset No. 1 Saugus 58-56 in the championship game of the High Five Classic on Saturday night at Valencia.

Valencia (4-0) never trailed and led 31-23 at halftime. Saugus (3-1) had a chance to win in the closing seconds, but Jessi Loring's 3-point shot fell short.

Tamaiya Smith added 15 points for Valencia. Sheridan Arredondo had 15 points for Saugus.

--Simi Valley 66, Camarillo 61: Tournament MVP (Multimedia Video Processor) A high-speed DSP chip from Texas Instruments, introduced in 1994. John Schock keyed an 8-0 run at the start of the fourth quarter for Simi Valley with two baskets and a charging foul taken on Derek Rasp (language) RASP - ["RASP - A Language with Operations on Fuzzy Sets", D.D. Djakovic, Comp Langs 13(3):143-148 (1988)]. .

David Reichel scored 24 points for Camarillo, which lost for the third consecutive year in the title game.

Schock and Mark Wells Mark Wells (born September 18, 1957 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan) is a retired American ice hockey forward. He is best known for being a member of the Miracle On Ice 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team won the gold medal.  joined Pesantez on the all-tournament team for Simi Valley. Reichel, Rasp and Bret Schyphers were all-tournament selections for Camarillo.

--Valencia 79, Moorpark 70: Not normally known as an offensive threat, Alan Husted scored a career-high 26 points in the third-place game for Valencia (3-1), which bounced back after a tough semifinal loss Friday to Camarillo.

After being held to four points in the semifinals, Keith Lawrence rebounded with 23 points for Moorpark (2-2).

--Taft 84, Granada Hills 69: In the consolation final, Taft of Woodland Hills' Jordan Farmar Jordan Robert Farmar (born November 30, 1986) is an American professional basketball player at starting point guard for the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers.

He was previously the starting point guard for the UCLA men's basketball team.
 had 43 points to increase his season point total to 167, just fewer than 42 points a game.

``When he gets going, he is one of the best shooters in the area,'' Crescenta Valley coach Adam Jacobson said of Goffredo, who scored 26 points in the second half. ``He makes my job easy. When he gets hot, we just give him the ball.''
