--El Camino Real 22, Chatsworth 1: Brittany Goodchild pitched a two- hitter with eight strikeouts and El Camino Real of Woodland Hills teammates provided her with plenty of run support, scoring at least three runs in five of the six innings.

Kelly Oswald, Daryn Rose, Ashley Zwoyer and Shasta Lionetti-Balzer each hit home runs for the Conquistadores (11-2, 3-0).

--Agoura 374, Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  383: Agoura's Matt Jaffe and Austin Alfonso tied with Simi Valley's Casey Piper for medalist honors with even-par rounds of 72 at the Simi Hills Golf Course.

Agoura's Kas Rahban finished fourth with a 73, followed by Simi Valley's Jameson Lovell and Alex Schock, who had rounds of 74 and 76, respectively.

--Chaminade 223, Alemany 230: Edgar Reyes earned medalist honors at the Porter Valley Country Club with an even-par round of 35, but Chaminade of West Hills (4-6, 2-4) prevailed behind the solid play of Louis Pilloni, who finished with a 3-over 38.

Western States Conference

--Canyons 1, Bakersfield 0: Samantha Johnson scored the game's lone run on a one-out single by Amy Nava in the bottom of the seventh inning as host Canyons (16-8, 10-3) defeated first-place Bakersfield (24-6, 13-2) and strengthened its chances of catching the conference leader with nine games remaining in the regular season.
