DAY IN SPORTS: STONERIDGE COMES UP BIG.

Byline: Daily News

With an enrollment of more than 1,000 students, Alemany High of Mission Hills might appear to have a deeper talent pool of athletes than that of Stoneridge Prep of Tarzana.

However, the Wildcats, with just 30 students, make the most of the talent available. And Saturday, Stoneridge Prep (11-3) proved it can play with any team as they defeated the Indians 67-66 in a nonleague boys' basketball game.

``Some teams think were just a small school and can't play with them. That just motivates us,'' Wildcats guard Tennel Victor said. ``We're proving that we can play. We're out there hustling and running and having fun.''
