The St. Francis High of La Canada boys' soccer team caught a break last weekend when Mission League rival Loyola of Los Angeles' winning streak Noun 1. winning streak - a streak of wins

St. Francis - the Daily News' top-ranked team - saw its winning streak halted at 11 games Monday, dropping a 3-1 decision in a showdown at Loyola. The Knights (14-3-2, 5-1) remained in first place.

Ryan Klasila, Colin Komae and David Medina scored goals for Loyola (20-3-1, 4-1), ranked No. 3 in Southern Section Div. II. Scott Stephens scored for St. Francis, ranked No. 2 in the division.

--San Fernando 3, Monroe 2: Jairo Garcia scored two first-half goals as San Fernando San Fernando, city, Argentina

--Harvard-Westlake 78, Alemany 58: Alex Stepheson Alex Stepheson is an American basketball player at the University of North Carolina. Grabbed 20 or more rebounds in 16 games as a senior at Harvard-Westlake High School in North Hollywood • Fourth-team Parade All-America selection • Averaged 20.4 points and 17.  scored a game-high 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Harvard-Westlake of Studio City (16-2, 6-0) topped visiting Alemany of Mission Hills (6-13, 2-4).

Kieran Ramsey scored 13 points and Corey Kelly added 10 for Harvard- Westlake, which extended its winning streak to eight games.
