The Pioneers, fueled by two 3-pointers by Kayla Briers, went on a 10-0 run to start the third quarter. Notre Dame closed to 38-32 at the end of the quarter.

Simi Valley then went on a 15-1 run to start the fourth quarter. All-tournament selection Melissa Hodeib led the Knights with 15 points.

In other Crescenta Valley tournament games:

--Canyon 64, Montclair Prep 59: The Cowboys (3-1) outscored the Mounties of Van Nuys (2-2) 16-10 down the stretch to secure third place.

Ashley Palmer and Michelle Vigue each scored 14 points for Canyon.

Murphy attended college at USC and graduated in 2007.
 scored a game-high 39 points for Montclair Prep and finished with 127 points in the four-game tournament.

--Rio Mesa 46, Crescenta Valley (JV) 35: Junior center Rocio Ramirez scored a game-high 21 points as the Spartans of Oxnard (1-3) secured seventh place.

--Royal 60, Charter Oak 43: Kinsley Mittel and Natalie Murvin scored 23 and 18 points, respectively, for the Highlanders of Simi Valley (2-1) in the second-round victory.

--Oxnard 59, Saugus 54: B.J. Wilkomm had 15 points and six rebounds and Michael Jones Mike or Michael Jones may refer to:

Saugus, which led 48-42 at halftime, was outshot 67 percent to 33 percent in the second half. Marc Holmquist, Saugus's leading scorer in the tournament, was held to eight points, 12 less than his average. Adrian Buencamino followed a 5-for-8 3-point-shooting performance in the Centurions' last game by making only 1 of 5 attempts and finishing with eight points.

Jonathan Wiley scored 17 of his game-high 21 points in the first half as Westlake (1-2) trailed by one basket at halftime. P.J. Isaacson scored 17 points and Devin Entrikin added 16 points for the Warriors, who were outscored 19-9 in the fourth quarter.

Camarillo (3-0) advances to the chamionship game for the second year in a row and will play Moorpark tonight at 8. The Scorpions lost last year's title game to Simi Valley 65-53.

--Moorpark 51, Simi Valley 49: Keith Lawrence scored 18 points, including three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to erase a three-point deficit and give the Musketeers (3-0) a victory over the Pioneers (2-1).

--Burroughs 2, Alemany 0: Cesar Corzo and Jacob Berg each scored a goal, and Allen Machuca recorded his first shutout of the season for the Indians of Burbank (1-1-1).

Andrew Bonvehi recorded three saves for Alemany of Mission Hills (0-2).

--Westlake 2, Hoover 1: Brent Hoyer scored to lift the Warriors (3-0) past the Tornadoes of Glendale (1-1-1).

Derric Brin tied the game late in the first half for Westlake. Daniel Gamboa scored Hoover's lone goal in the game's first five minutes. Teammate Rogelio Gonzalez had nine saves.
