Mark Wells Mark Wells (born September 18, 1957 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan) is a retired American ice hockey forward. He is best known for being a member of the Miracle On Ice 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team won the gold medal.  added 11 points for Simi Valley, which overcame a 32-point performance from Bishops' Martin Smith.

The Pioneers led 46-44 after three quarters but outscored their opponents 22-16 in the final period to pull away.

--Bullard 97, Canoga Park 45: For the second time in two games, the Hunters were blown out at the Torrey Pines tournament. Canoga Park lost by 20 points to Scripps Ranch on Friday.

On Saturday, the Hunters were outplayed from the start and fell behind 26-6 after one quarter. The Hunters were outscored 30-9 in the final period.

Dominic Marshall had 13 points to lead Canoga Park, which also received nine points from Raymond Jackson, eight points from Maurice Neal, six points from Alan Melandovich and four points apiece from A.J. Charrington and Voltaire Davis.

In boys' soccer:

--Calabasas 2, Ventura 0: In the championship game of the Buena tournament, Alex Rosenblum scored both goals for the Coyotes (9-5-1), who successfully defended their title.

Mike Rudow had five saves for his fifth shutout of the season for Calabasas, which won all four of its games in the tournament.
