DAY IN SPORTS: SAUGUS' SAKHAKORN SAILS ON.

Byline: Daily News

Yasaman Sakhakorn of Saugus finally lost in the Foothill League finals Thursday. Lost a game, that is.

Sakhakorn has been unstoppable in the Foothill League this season, going undefeated. The sophomore won all of her matches leading up to the league final without dropping a game.

Ashley Herrera of Valencia got a game in the first set of the final Thursday but lost 6-1, 6-0, giving Sakhakorn the title.

``My main goal was to get to the finals,'' Herrera said. ``I knew Yasaman was going to be there. She's a really good player. I was happy I got one game off her.''
