The favorite to win the Marmonte League The Marmonte League is a high school sports league primarily made up of schools from Ventura County. The Marmonte Leauge is part of the CIF Southern Section. It is unique among schools of its kind in that it also has a campus in northern Arizona, located on a ranch on Beaver Creek in the Coconino National Forest near Sedona, Arizona. , 3-2: After losing the first two games, West Valley Christian of West Hills rallied to win the nonleague road match 21-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-9.

West Valley Christian (12-1), which has won 11 consecutive matches, trailed 18-8 in the third game before mounting its comeback behind setter Christa Bixby, who finished with 26 assists.

Kailee Barr had five kills and six aces, and Sheeva Ahmedian added five kills and four aces for West Valley Christian, which was pushed to five games for the first time this season.

--Valley Alternative d. USC-MAST, 3-0: Luisa Umana had 14 kills, six aces and 11 digs, and Madelyn Bustos had 24 assists as Valley Alternative of Sherman Oaks (9-0, 6-0) defeated USC-MAST of Los Angeles 25-10, 25-12, 25-16.

West Valley League

--Reseda d. San Fernando, 3-2: Diana Perez had 10 kills, and Kimberly Rodriquez had nine aces as Reseda (6-4, 4-3) defeated visiting San Fernando 25-17, 20-25, 21-25, 25-16, 15-12.

Marmonte League

--Westlake d. Royal 3-0: Jillian Lane had 24 kills, and Tawny Summers added 10 kills and 12 digs for host Westlake (7-4, 6-3) in its 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 25-20 victory.
