The Parrots (8-16, 3-7) were led offensively by Victor Chacon, who scored 18 points. Mike Mgdesyan points and Julius Roberts added six points each.

Kevin Baird, of Verdugo Hills, scored 24 points and grabbed 25 rebounds. Victor Hines added 13 points as the Dons (9-16, 3-7) finished league play tied for fourth place with Poly.

In girls soccer:

In girls basketball:

--Grooms has game: Jevay Grooms dominating all-around performance led Kennedy of Granada Hills to a 48-33 victory over Reseda in a Valley Mission league game.

Grooms scored 18 points, grabbed 21 rebounds, blocked 14 shots and added seven steals.

The Barber sisters, Linnae and Jennifer, combined for 17 points and 18 rebounds for the Cougars (15-7, 9-1).

--Prep football: Oak Christian of Westlake, which opens next fall, named Bob Richards The Rev. Redell serves as head coach at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California, since 2000, and has formed them into one of . During his 11-year tenure with the Lancers, Richards led his team to six league championships, eight playoffs appearances and one CIF (1) (Common Intermediate Format) A standard video format used in videoconferencing. CIF formats are defined by their resolution, and standards both above and below the original resolution have been established. The original CIF is also known as Full CIF (FCIF).  championship in 1987.

Richards was named CIF Coach of the Year in 1987 and was the Ventura County Coach of the Year four times.

``I have always viewed the development of an athlete as the development of a whole person,'' said Richards, who will teach at Thousand Oaks. ``OCHS is a new opportunity to help students grow in their athletics, academics and their faith. It is very exciting to build a program from the ground floor. It gets the juices flowing again.''
